i have to admit i was a bit suprised by these hoax websites, especially the RYT Hospital Website. It seems so realistic and well put together. Once you search through the website you can obviously see it is fake. There are no contact numbers or contact information at all. On a normal doctors or hospital website, there are emails, numbers, doctor’s names and evidence that it is a ligit healthcare facility. It is a website that plays around with medical improvements and clinical treatments for the possible future. The website is well put together and looks very professional. It displays stories of new research done on patients and lists the latest technological advances that “supposedly” do not occur anywhere else in the world. This website even has links to take you to further information on certain medical services provided through this Hoax of a website. Another major thing is how the website has a copyright sign before its hospital name, down on the bottom of the website. It lists a home, privacy notice and disclaimer link at the bottom. The creators really tried to make this website look realistic, and i have to say they did a pretty great job.

The man who gave us Libraries.
March 12 in 1901 a man by the name of Andrew Carnegie, who was one of the world’s most well known industrialists, offered the city of New York 5.2 million dollars to build sixty-five different branch libraries. This immigrant’s fortune eventually would develop many more libraries and charitable foundations. He was born in 1835 and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1848. Working in the American industry and making many investments, he developed a huge fortune before the age of thirty. In the early 1870s, he noticed potential in the steel industry and started J. Edgar Thomson Steel Works. This eventually became the Carnegie Steel Company. The company took off in 1901. He then sold it to financier JP Morgan for about 480 million dollars. He walked away with 250 million in his pocket and retired. He began writing and studying philanthropy. Carnegie believed that any earned wealth should be distributed throughout the public. Carnegie sis the founder of 2,509 libraries in the USA. He also established several trusts and was the co-founder of Carnegie Mellon University. Carnegie past away in 1919 and it is recorded that he had given away over 350 million dollars. Carenegie Hall in New York is one of the most well known music halls in all of the world. Some of the most talented musicians have played in this hall and some of them still go back to perform there. Carnegie was one of the most generous men to have immigrated to the USA.

A new application, new way to make money!
There is a new application that you can download on facebook. It is called market lodge. The whole idea for this new application is that consumers are more likely to buy products and merchandise from friends and family, rather than something seen on TV or sold in the stores. Facebook members who sell merchandise through this program will recieve 10 percent of the sales made because of their recommendations. Market lodge hopes to get into the middle of the social network by paying facebook members to sell, sell. sell. There are over 67 million users on facebook as of 2008 and Market Lodge is hopeful that because members can benefit and make money while being online and chatting with friends. Even if a facebook member purchases items for themselves they can save money by using market lodge. Facebookers set a personal store on facebook and display the products they know and love. They then invite friends to join the network to show off the products they recommend. This is how they begin to make that 10 percent. I think this is a bit over the top, but it is a smart idea. Facebook used to have a application called Beacon, which was similar to Market lodge, but the members did not benefit (they did not make any money on the sales). I think alot of facebook members will try this program out and many will benefit from it. I will however, not partake in this new way to make money online.
